Job Vacancy - Project Manager (Agility)

With over 25 years experience, SoftSols Group is recognised as one of the leading providers of Computerised Maintenance Management Solutions to a diverse portfolio of international clients.

We now require an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully implementing IT projects. With a focus on motivating and directing the project team whilst managing client expectations the successful candidate will be a good hands-on communicator who can make things happen rather than a master of project planning tools and Gantt charts.

The role will include practical involvement in client driven implementation projects and overall coordination of the on-going product development plans and strategies for our innovative web based solutions developed using the Microsoft .NET framework.

This position is based in Wakefield with travel to client and partner sites as required and a regular need to visit the European Development team based in South West Poland

Responsibilities:

  1. Managing the successful completion of software implementation projects ensuring customer expectations are delivered in a timely and effective manner
  2. Coordinating the efforts of the implementation and development teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions to the end customer
  3. Assisting the development team in the planning and management of new product release schedules
  4. Attending client project review meetings with responsibility for documenting and managing the delivery of all agreed action points  
  5. Providing the management team with detailed information about project costs, delivery schedules and resource requirements
  6. Identifying and managing project risks by timely escalation of issues to the relevant members of staff
  7. Maintaining project plans, project documentation and providing project reports as required

 Qualifications:

  1. strong customer facing and communication skills essential
  2. experience of the full software development cycle essential
  3. proven track record of successful delivery of projects
  4. ability to produce high quality documentation
  5. experience with Microsoft .NET, C# and Visual Studio desirable
  6. knowledge of a number of the following application areas will be desirable:
    1. maintenance management
    2. field service management
    3. facilities management
    4. financial and accounting
    5. inventory and purchasing

Personal:

  1. highly motivated with ability to work without supervision
  2. able to build lasting relationships with key clients
  3. able to inspire and motivate both support engineers and the development team
  4. desire and ability to contribute to the overall success of the team with a hands on approach

Candidates must be prepared to travel to our European offices in Poland on a regular basis and visit customer sites throughout the UK as required often involving overnight stays. A full UK driving license is essential.
