SoftSols: growing and developing

Welcome to the SoftSols Newsletter. There have been some exciting developments here in the last few months, including the launch of Agility 3.3 and our acquisition of the Plan4 CMMS. We attended MAINTEC 2010 manufacturing trade show with our Group Managing Director David Hipkin giving a presentation on Agile Maintenance and how it can improve your business and bottom line (link below).

We’ve also got a case study from flooring manufacturer Forbo who, since implementing Agility, complete over 200 per cent more logged maintenance requests and actions per month - with the same team and the same resources!

Promoting Agile Maintenance at MAINTEC 2010

MAINTEC this year was a quiet show but the quality of visitors was high and the SoftSols team had some productive meetings. David Hipkin, SoftSols Group Managing Director, gave a presentation on Agile Maintenance which was well received and drew interested customers to our stand for further discussions. “The show was a good opportunity to meet and talk to customers about how they are using Agility in their businesses.  Visitors responded well to the new release of Agility 3.3 and my presentation prompted some interesting conversations,” said David.

Forbo Flooring brings down breakdowns and increases productivity with Agility

When flooring manufacturer Forbo introduced a Computerised Maintenance Management System the company reduced its plant breakdowns from 90 per month to less than 20, increasing plant availability from 89 per cent to 97 per cent.

New Release of Agility 3.3

  • Configurable KPI Charts – define your own statistics, choose the chart type and select the colour palette to present key data just as you want it. You can even define your own link to the appropriate scan list to allow powerful drill down capability
  • Drill Down Dashboard – click on any chart segment to navigate directly to the relevant data. For example, click on the Red Segment of the Due Date Analysis to see a list of overdue work orders
  • Mobile Expert – now Barcode enabled. Scan the asset code to start a work order and book out stock using bar codes to improve accuracy
  • Mobile Expert – screen labels are now customisable. Change terminology and hide unused fields to fit your own requirements
  • Purchase Quotations – track the best prices from suppliers before committing to a purchase order
  • New Report Viewer – faster generation of reports and ability to print to any selected printer
  • Asset Spares – build spare part lists directly from the Asset screen, including quantity used.
